The theme is VAMPIRATES! 😀 (that is, pirates that are also vampires, or vice versa!)

What would you do? Perhaps a bloodthirsty Captain Jack, or an undead Blackbeard – or a sassy female vampirate who’d give all the boys a run for their money (or blood!)!

Real, fictional, OCs and random inventions all welcome!

Rules

• Entries must contain a vampirate!
• Visual arts only, no literature (sorry – really hard to judge the one against the other!)
• All visual media allowed
• Please give credit where credit is due
• Please only submit art made especially for the competition
• Only 2 entries per person
• Deadline is 31st March 2011

Submitting your entry:

• State it’s for the competition and link to this journal entry
• Send me a note on Deviantart with a link to your piece

Judging
Judging will be based on:

• Your imagination in creating your vampirate
• Bonus points for humour or interesting twists!

I want to keep it open to all levels of artists, from beginners to experts, so skill level will not be a factor. 🙂
