GETTING STARTED IN 3D WITH POSER
Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11:00AM PST
Interested in learning 3D but don’t know where to start? Poser is the easy answer. Join Steve Cooper, Poser product manager, in this 1-hour webinar for beginners. Don’t know a wireframe from a keyframe? Steve will cover the basics to give you a better understanding of how to find your way around Poser and its 3D environment. The following fundamentals will be covered in an easy to follow, minimum jargon fashion:
1. Interface Orientation – what do all of those dials and widgets actually do? Take a tour of the controls and learn the basics of what you will need when first starting to work on Poser. Posing controls, lights, cameras, and where to find the library will also be discussed.
2. Simple Scene Creation – using figures and props from Poser’s library, Steve will show you how to set up your first basic scene.
3. Render Your First Illustration – using Poser’s Firefly engine. Learn how rendering transforms a 3D scene into a 2D picture, and in the process create your first illustration.

Do they record the webinars for perusal later on? Or is it a one-time only thing?

For the ones I’ve attended in the past, they’ve posted them on the Smith Micro Webinar page here: http://my.smithmicro.com/webinars/index.html
Obviously, the good thing about attending is that you can ask questions live. 🙂
